Grants for Exiled Russian CSOs Working on the Protection of Human Rights

The Freedom House invites applications for funding from locally registered civil societies and coalitions based in the Republic of Armenia that seek to address the human rights violations of vulnerable communities of Nagorno-Karabakh ethnic Armenians and ensure inclusive participation in civil society and government efforts on accountability.

The proposed projects will seek to ensure better understanding of human rights violations of vulnerable communities among Nagorno-Karabakh ethnic Armenians as well as raise awareness through initiatives that ensure their inclusivity and representation.

Priority will be given to organizations and initiatives focused on human rights reporting and advocating for transparency, accountability, democracy and human rights. In addition, special consideration will be given to the former Nagorno-Karabakh civil society organizations currently registered in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. Applicants should demonstrate an understanding of the main organizational needs, and a desire to address them with the support of Freedom House.
