The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Cape Town (PAS Cape Town) has announced an open competition for organizations to submit applications to support program management, staffing and operations for the American Spaces program in the Cape provinces.

The American Spaces program in the Cape provinces is part of a larger network of American Spaces in South Africa and globally. American Spaces operate according to global standards. These standards mandate that every American Space offers programming in six core areas:

The American Spaces standards further mandate that they maintain collections of books, magazines, databases, computer workstations, and an area for programs. All materials at the American Spaces —to include internet access—must be free and open to the public.

ObjectivesPAS Cape Town’s American Spaces program aims to provide resources and programming that promotes the following range of objectives. All programs must feature American content.
