The South East Water is seeking applications for its Community Grants Program to support communities across the service region by making important community projects possible.
The South East Water especially wants to support projects for groups affected by our services. This could be from a sewer spill, reduced water quality or water service interruption.
This is because they help its customers to:
- Be active
- Meet other people
- Manage money
- Help others
- Stay safe
- Care for the environment
- Use water wisely
Funding Information
- $500 to $10,000 per project to eligible community groups.

You can use the grant to:
- Run a project or event
- Build something
- Buy something
Projects
South East Water grants program funds local projects that make the communities better places to live. This includes projects that:
- Support vulnerable community members.
- Make the environment healthier.
- Help people be more active and connected.
- Help make sure everybody knows about water and how to use it in the best way possible.

Eligibility Criteria
- You can apply if your community group is:
- A registered association
- An incorporated body
- A not-for-profit company limited by guarantee
- An educational facility or institution.
- Your group must also have:
- A bank account in its own name
- An elected and identifiable committee or similar group clearly responsible for managing the organisation.
- If you’ve received a grant from South East Water before, you can apply again. However, South East Water’ll consider if your past grant project has been delivered.
Location
- Your group must be in South East Water’s service area, or support another community group delivering services in the service area.
- Impacted by the services
- You should also let them know if your group has been impacted by the services and South East Water will take this into account. The impact might be through:
- A sewer spill.
- A water quality incident.
- A water outage.
