The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking applications from eligible entities for a small grant program entitled “Analyzing Relationships between Disability, Rehabilitation and Work (ARDRAW)” with an aim to foster new analysis of work, rehabilitation, and disability issues, which may develop innovative and fresh perspectives on disability.
Program Components
- A program manager to manage the program and award stipends to individual graduate students,
- The graduate students who will conduct research on disability related issues.
Funding Information
- Annual funding for this grant is $300,000, which will include funding for the program manager and graduate student stipends of $10,000 each.
- The grantee should plan to award up to 25 research stipends per year. Awards are contingent on availability of funds.
Eligibility Criteria
- Research organizations, universities and associations of research organizations and universities only in the United States are eligible to apply.
- County governments
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- Special district governments
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Private institutions of higher education
- City or township governments
- State governments
- Small businesses
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Independent school districts
- For profit organizations other than small businesses.
