Applications are open for Start Up Canada Women Founders Fund that will provide micro-grants to women entrepreneurs and women-led companies in Canada to help them start and grow their businesses.
Entrepreneurship has proved to be a catalyst for economic growth in many countries. Equally as important is the critical role that women play in the growth of an economy. Startup Canada and Evolocity Financial Group are joining efforts to support women entrepreneurs in the operations of their businesses and to access opportunities.
Prizes
- Up to $1,000 micro-grant to support business operations or business growth opportunities.
- Access to the Startup Canada Network through the Startup Canada Membership Program.
- One-on-one Mentorship
Fund Objectives
- Promote and invest in women-led companies to enable them to start and grow their businesses;
- Develop and harness the potential for women entrepreneurs in Canada through education, mentorship, and support; and,
- Drive awareness of the importance of women in entrepreneurship to increase engagement, investment and growth opportunities for women-led companies.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be women entrepreneurs or women-led companies.
- Applicants must be based out of Canada.
- Applicants must use the funds to support the operations of their company or to access business or professional growth.
