The 100 Women is pleased to announce applications for its Grant Program to invest in charities that empower women and girls.
100 Women is a collaborative giving circle that amplifies the giving power of everyday people to create significant change for women and girls.
Their ever-growing giving circle gathers people from all walks of life to contribute and celebrate the life-changing impact that we together can have on women and girls –locally, nationally and globally.
By giving donors the opportunity to vote for projects and see the impact of grants firsthand, 100 Women creates a meaningful giving experience.
Funding Information
- They plan to support grants of up to $40,000 to successful organizations.
Funding Criteria
- Improve economic outcomes for girls and women who are disadvantaged or face barriers; or
- Improve health outcomes for girls and women; or
- Improve educational outcomes for girls and women; or
- Provide safety to girls and women at risk from rape, forced prostitution, sex trafficking or family violence; or
- Address any of the Targets for Goal 5: Gender Equality UN Sustainable Development Goals (where the direct beneficiaries of the grant are girls and women).
Geographical Focus
- Preference given to projects conducted within Western Australia or with a national/multi-jurisdiction reach or those based in overseas countries.
Eligibility Criteria
- 100 Women awards grants to organizations that advance the safety, health, education and economic freedom of women and girls.
- You must be an Australian registered charity with Item 1 Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. This is mandatory and overseas registered charities do not meet this requirement.
- Mandatory requirements govern which organizations can receive a grant from 100 Women. Grant applicants must be:
- Charitable organizations within the meaning of the Charities Act 2013; and
- Have Item 1 DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status (in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997).
- Grants may also be made to exempt organizations that would be charitable but for their connection with government and which are Item 1 DGRs.
