Applications are open for DS Social Innovation Grant which is a corporate social responsibility initiative of DS Group to encourage and support different innovative ideas/ interventions to address these challenges. A new approach means doing experiments and seeing what works.
Climate change, Population, Pollution, Corruption are problems that plague many parts of the planet. Traditional approaches have been tried and most have been unsuccessful. DS Group need innovative, out of the box thinking – a new approach to address these problems.
DS Social Innovation Project Grant is conceptualized to support such experimental projects. DS Group solicit dreamers and innovators to submit concepts that they believe can change the world. For e.g. applicants have an idea to remove social prejudice and need funds to try a social experiment. Or applicants need funds to develop a prototype of a device that can make water potable or help sustain water or reduce crop damage due to stray/wild animals. If they find their idea interesting – they will fund it for a year and if their impact is good, they will give additional funding to scale it up. The grant is open for Indian registered NON-Profit organization and individual (Teams) with well design intervention plan to address present social and environmental problems.
Preferred Thematic Areas
- Preferred Thematic Areas for the Grant are:
- Environment
- Livelihood
- Education
- Any other specific solution that can impact positively on the communities in defined geographical areas
- Preference will be given to Projects that can be implemented in the Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh
Eligibility Criteria
- For Indian Registered Organizations
- The NON-Profit organization should have proven track record in the delivery of quality services in specific fields, good implementation history, a capacity of personnel to manage the project on prescribed schedules and targets.
- Available total Grant for any organization will be up to 20 Lakh
- The project duration should be between 6 to 24 months
- Organization should have valid Income Tax registration under 12A and 80G.
- The NON-Profit organization should have proven track record in the delivery of quality services in specific fields, good implementation history, a capacity of personnel to manage the project on prescribed schedules and targets.
- For Individual or Team of Individuals
- With the aim of encouraging young Indians (above 18 years) to respond innovatively and independently to issues which affect society and planet, DS Group is accepting application from eligible with following conditions:
- The project must be a designed with defined objectives, strategies, activities and outcomes, not just a concept or idea
- Available Annual Grant for any organization will be up to 10 Lakh
- The project duration should be between 6 to 12 months
- If selected, the individual(s) will get an option to partner with Dharampal Satyapal Foundation – which will help make their ideas into reality.
