The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting applications under the project entitled,”Building relations for intercultural dialogue in Bosnia and Herzegovina – BRIDGE”.
The project “Building relations for intercultural dialogue in Bosnia and Herzegovina – BRIDGE” aims to encourage intercultural dialogue and interaction among young people on the topics of nature, science, tourism and environmental protection, contributing to overcoming social and cultural divisions and creating trust among young people.
The project is implemented throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is co-financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP BiH).
Objectives
- The public call for submission of applications aims to encourage joint actions of young people to protect the environment and reduce the negative impact of people on the environment, which encourage volunteerism and youth activism.
- 3 grants are awarded for the organization of 3 actions of cleaning, greening , marking and other works, including minor infrastructural interventions on the paths and related infrastructure along the Via Dinarice white path in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- The applicant can submit multiple project proposals within this public call, but only one project proposal can be approved.
- At least 50 young people aged 15 to 25 from at least 2 local self-government units from both Bosnia and Herzegovina must participate in the implementation of the activities planned by the project. entity, including young people from the local self-government unit from which the applicant comes (maximum 50% of participants).
Funding Information
- The total available financial resources within this public call amount to 105,000.00 KM , whereby, based on the competitive process, the realization of at least 3 best-ranked project proposals will be supported.
- Grants per application can amount to a minimum of 30,000.00 KM up to a maximum of 35,000.00 KM . For each project, the applicant must ensure co-financing in the amount of a minimum of 20% of the amount of funds required for the realization of the project from the public call fund. For example, if the applicant, according to the project, requires 30,000.00 KM of financing from the project fund, he must ensure his own co-financing in the minimum amount of 6,000.00 KM, and if, for example, he requests 35,000.00 KM from the project fund, he must ensure co-financing in the minimum amount of 7,000.00 KM.
Geographic Locations
- It’s a public call open to applicants, whose headquarters are located and who operate at locations of the Via Dinarice white trail in the following local self-government units (JLS) in Bosnia and Herzegovina :
- Bosansko Grahovo, Foča, Gacko, Jablanica, Kalinovik, Konjic, Livno, Mostar, Posušje, Prozor-Rama, Sarajevo, Trnovo (FBiH), Trnovo (RS), Tomislavgrad, Bugojno, Hadžići, Istočni Drvar, Kupres and Nevesinje.
- Applicant’s applications from the mentioned LGUs, which include activities on trails and locations Via Dinarice, which are not located in their parent LGUs, will not be taken into consideration.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants eligible to apply for this call are: associations , organizations , sports clubs and mountaineering society from the above unit local self-government.
- Applicants MUST have at least one partner in the project (association, organization, sports club or mountaineering society) based in another local government unit anywhere in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Applications must meet the elimination criteria:
- The applicant applications he secured co-financing of minimally 20% on amount funds required for realization _ of the project from fund public calls . If co-financing consists of a combination of material / monetary contribution and non-monetary / non-material contribution, the participation of non-monetary / non-material contribution can be up to 50% of the total amount of co-financing by the applicant.
- The applicant has ensured the participation of at least one partner in the project (association, non-governmental organization, sports club or mountaineering society).
- least 50 young people aged 15 to 25 from at least 2 local self-government units from both Bosnia and Herzegovina participate in the implementation of the activities planned by the project, which last 5 days (4 nights ) . entity, including young people from the local self-government unit from which the applicant comes (maximum 50% of participants).
