The Icicle Fund is seeking applications for its 2021 Operating Support Grants which is a single-year, unrestricted grants to support 501(c)3 or fiscally sponsored organizations that have an impact in the Arts, Environment, or History in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, or Grant Counties.
Twenty years ago, the Icicle Fund was established by Harriet Bullitt to support the work of six named partner organizations focused on protecting the environment, advancing the arts, and promoting the natural and cultural history of the Wenatchee River watershed.

- Grants of up to $15,000 are available.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-profit status:
- Organization must have a determination letter from the United States Internal Revenue Service that designates applicants organization as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3). Organization must also be defined as a publicly supported organization under section 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2).
- If applicant does not meet these criteria, applicant can be fiscally sponsored by an organization that does.
- The program does not consider grants for individuals, political candidates, parties, or lobbyists.
- Other eligibility criteria:
- Organization must be non-discriminatory in its policies and practices with regard to sex, race, color, marital status, national origin, religious affiliation, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, and age.
- Project must further the mission of Icicle Fund to support the Arts, Environment, and/or natural and cultural History in North Central Washington (Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, and Grant counties).
- Organization may apply for only one Icicle
- If applicant’s organization is a current Icicle Fund grantee, they need to submit a progress or final report on any current grant from the Icicle Fund no later than January 31st the year you want to submit a new application.
- If applicant’s organization received a grant under the Icicle Fund River Grant Program that ends in 2021 they are eligible to apply for an Icicle Fund Operating Support Grant during the December 1st, 2020 – January 15th, 2021 open period.
- If applicant’s organization received a grant under the Icicle Fund River Grant Program that ends in 2022 they are not eligible to apply for any Icicle Fund grants until a year after the end of the River Grant period.
