The Princeton Area Community Foundation, Monmouth Arts is pleased to launch a call for proposals for the Art Project Grants Program to support individual artists whose art project benefits disenfranchised communities in Monmouth County and increases Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) presence and voice.
Priority will be given to artists who identify as BIPOC. Grants will be provided to artists for work across all artistic disciplines (dance, music, craft, film, traditional art, theater and performance, multidisciplinary, visual art, literary art).
Categories
Your work must fit within the following categories:
- Craft (ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, metals, textiles, etc.)
- Dance (dancers, choreographers; aerial, ballet, hip-hop, jazz, tap, etc.)
- Film (animation, documentary, episodic, experimental, narrative, etc.)
- Music (composers, musicians; classical, contemporary, experimental, folk, instrumental, jazz, pop, world, etc.)
- Theater & Performance (experimental, live-action, playwriting, puppetry, etc.)
- Traditional Art (work related to the continuity and evolution of a tradition or cultural heritage such as cultural dance, cultural music, oral expression, traditional crafts, etc.)
- Visual Art (installation, painting, performance art, photography, sculpture, sound art, video, etc.)
- Literary Art (poetry, etc.)
- Multidisciplinary
Funding Information
Grant Request: Between $1,000 and $3,000
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must be:
- A practicing artist able to demonstrate a sustained commitment to your work and career in your chosen medium
- 21 years of age or older
- A resident of Monmouth County
- Working in the United States for the last two years
- Not related to a Monmouth Arts Board or staff member
- Able to provide a social security number
- Carry out the Public Art Project in Monmouth County
- Note: Artists who work collaboratively may apply as a team but will need to submit one application and name one lead artist.
