The Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH initiative has currently announced to fund innovative approaches and technologies which aim to increase the number of people diagnosed and treated for TB, to decrease the time to appropriate treatment and to improve treatment success rates.
TB REACH will provide funding to first evaluate the impact of innovative ideas and once impact has been demonstrated, to then set these ideas on a path to transition from TB REACH funding to longer term support and scale up through domestic or other resources.
Priority Areas
TB REACH will fund requests activities or interventions that fit under the following categories:
- Improving detection, linkage to treatment and reporting of TB
- Improving treatment adherence and outcomes
- Special Funding: Developing innovative resources and materials to aide service delivery
Funding Criteria
The scope of work and value of funding will vary according to the project type:
- Type 1: Proof of Concept (up to USD 400,000)
- Type 2: Focus on Scalability (up to USD 1,000,000)
- Type 3: Scale Up & Sustainability (invitation only in Wave 5)
- Special Funding: Product Innovation (up to USD 150,000)
