Technical Assistance Grants (United States)

Deadline: 1-May-22

The State Justice Institute (SIJ) is offering Technical Assistance (TA) Grants to provide state and local courts with funding to obtain expert assistance to diagnose a problem, develop a response to that problem, and initiate implementation of any needed changes.

Grant funds may cover the cost of obtaining the services of expert consultants; travel by a team of officials from one court to examine a practice, program, or facility in another jurisdiction that the applicant court is interested in replicating; or both.  In calculating project duration, applicants are cautioned to fully consider the time required to issue a request for proposals, negotiate a contract with the selected provider, and execute the project. Funds may not be used for salaries, benefits, or travel of full-or part-time court employees.

Technical Assistance (TA) Grants may not exceed $75,000 and 12 months in duration.
