Terre des hommes (Tdh) in partnership with Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), Center for Common Ground (CCG) and Bedër University is seeking proposals for its project entitled “Strengthening Civil Society to build youth resilience to Violent Extremism”, funded by the European Union in order to empower civil society organizations and community based organisations working with young people and communities to develop youth resilience activities to counter violent extremism.
The objective of this call for proposals is to develop capacities and encourage the participation of civil society in actions to prevent violent extremisms and engaging at local level in sensitive areas where radicalisation is more eager to spread.
Grant Information
- The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 201,000.
- Any grant requested under this Call for Proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- 1st category – maximum amount requested: EUR 5,000 (up to 5 projects)
- 2nd category- maximum amount requested: EUR 5001- 7,500 (up to 10 project)
- 3rd category – maximum amount requested: EUR 7,501- 10,000 (up to 10 project)
Expected Results
- Increased capacities of CSOs to be more self-sufficient and able to develop activities to build youth resilience;
- Developed and implemented community-based youth resilience programs towards countering violent extremism;
- Developed empowering programs for youth at risk, unemployed and marginalized youth as a tool to build their resilience toward violent extremism;
- Developed of programs that enhance civic education, democracy principles, rule of law and the culture of tolerance and nonviolence.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be:
- a non-governmental and non-profit-making organization;
- be legally established in Albania; and
- directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action, not acting as an intermediary
- Co-applicant(s)
- The Lead applicant may act together with a co-applicant. Co-applicants participate in designing and implementing the action, and the costs they incur are eligible in the same way as those incurred by the lead applicant. Co-applicants must satisfy the eligibility criteria as applicable to the lead applicant. If awarded the grant contract, the co-applicant (if any) will become beneficiary in the action.
- List of Documents Required: The project proposals sent by NGOs must be sent with the below mentioned list of documents:
- Court registration of the applicant’s. (Please, submit the first decision and any potential changes);
- Statute and any potential changes to the statute, composition, direction and governance of the organization as reflected in documents submitted;
- Founding Act of the organization;
- Court extract (with the Court seal issued within the last three months);
- Tax registration at the Albanian tax office, (NIPT- Entity Taxable Identification Number);
- A document issued by the Department of Taxes certifying that the organization has no pending financial obligations, such as social, health or tax obligations – issued within the Call period
- Organizational CV (in English);
- Copy of the financial statements of the organization for year 2016.
