The Representative Office of Canada in Ramallah is pleased to launch its annual call for proposals for the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), a program designed to support small-scale, high-impact projects in developing countries, which align with Global Affairs Canada’s thematic priority areas for engagement.

The program is directed at projects conceived and designed predominantly by local partners. Projects are selected and approved by the Representative Office of Canada in Ramallah.  The CFLI also serves to support positive bilateral relations between Canada and recipient countries and their civil societies, by deepening contacts and supporting local endeavours.

This year, all projects must align with the following overall CFLI thematic priority:

In addition, successful proposals must also advance at least one of the following two objectives established by the Representative Office of Canada:

Note: Preference will be given to proposals that demonstrate solid risk mitigation strategies for the safe and effective delivery of programming in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in case situation got worsen again. As in previous years, the Representative Office of Canada will select projects in each of the three areas under the Mission’s responsibility (the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem).

Please note that all contributions are made in Canadian dollars and payments are made in either ILS or USD.
