The Other Foundation’s General Grants Program for Social Inclusion of Homesexual and Bisexual People!

LGBTI Communications: Learning Journey Grants

Deadline: 6 March 2017

The Other Foundation is currently inviting individual or organization in thirteen eligible Southern African countries for its General Grants program to support work that advances or defends the freedom, equality, and social inclusion of homosexual and bisexual women and men, and transgender and intersex people.

The Other Foundation is an African trust that advances equality and freedom in southern Africa with a particular focus on sexual orientation and gender identity. It gathers support to defend and advance the human rights and social inclusion of homosexual and bisexual women and men, as well as transgender and intersex people in southern Africa – and it gives support to groups in a smart way that enables them to work effectively for lasting change, recognizing the particular dynamics of race, poverty and inequality, sex, national origin, heritage, and politics in our part of the world. It does this by working both as a fundraiser and a grant maker.

Focus Areas

Although proposals for innovative work in general will be considered, activities that focus on the following areas will be given priority consideration, as a result of funds having been ring-fenced for these focus areas:
