The Greater Topeka Fund is comprised of endowed Field of Interest Funds administered by the Topeka Community Foundation.
Grant awards are made by a committee of board and community members and are approved by the Foundation’s board of directors.
Funding Information
Grant awards are expected to be $5,000 or less. Requests exceeding that amount will be considered on a limited basis only, based on demonstrated need and the availability of funding.
Eligibility Criteria
Grant applications will be accepted from nonprofit organizations serving Shawnee County.
Requirements
Awards will be determined by the quality and strength of the case presented for the identified community need. Applications which include partnership between agencies, multiple funding sources and meet needs in the areas of “Arts” and/or “Youth” will be given priority. Some of the criteria that will be considered in reviewing proposal are:
- Impact: Who will be served?
- Community: Is there a demonstrated need for this program?
- Feasibility: Is the program realistic? Are there clear goals?
