The Town of Port Hedland is accepting applications for its Community Grants Program.

Objectives

  • The objectives of the revised grants are to:
    • Better reflect the diversity in the types of community groups across Hedland
    • Reach new organisations which may not have applied for funding in previous years
    • Foster the establishment of new not for profit organisations
    • Activate spaces across Hedland to foster a shared sense of community
    • Increase the amount of money distributed to organisations

    • Community Collaboration Grant: Maximum Value: $10,000
  • Arts and Culture Grants
    • Community Arts Grant: Maximum Value: Matched funding $3,000 No matched funding $1,000
    • Artist Development Grant: Maximum Value: Individual: $500-$1000 Group: $2000
  • Sports and Recreation Grants
    • Community Sport Grant: Maximum Value: Matched Funding $3,000 No Matched Funding: $1,000
    • Athlete Develoment Grant: Maximum Value: Individual $500-$1000 Group $2000
  • Community Activation Grants
    • Friendly Neighbourhood Grant: Maximum Value: $250
    • Public Space Activation: Maximum Value: $1000
    • Youth Leadership and Development Grant: Maximum Value: $2000

Eligibility Criteria

  • Annual
    • Community Development Grant: Registered not-forprofits and incorporated associations
    • Community Collaboration Grant: Joint application from three or more registered not-for-profits and/or incorporated associations
  • Arts and Culture Grants
    • Community Arts Grant: Arts based community groups
    • Artist Development Grant:  Individual artists, performers and arts based community groups
  • Sports and Recreation Grants
    • Community Sport Grant: Sporting Clubs and Organisations
    • Athlete Develoment Grant: Individual athletes, coaches and officials
  • Community Activation Grants
    • Special Events Grant: Registered not-for-profits and incorporated associations
    • Friendly Neighbourhood Grant: Any individual or group of people living in Hedland
    • Seed Funding: New not-for-profit organisations registered or plan to register in the next six months
    • Public Space Activation: Individuals, groups or local businesses
    • Youth Leadership and Development Grant: Young people between 12 and 25
