Traffic Box Art Project Grant Program in the US

The City of Orlando is inviting applications for its Traffic Box Art Project Grant Program.

This program allows neighborhood associations to use a Mayor’s Matching Grant to paint or wrap a traffic signal box in their neighborhood. Art boxes provide a sense of ownership and pride in their neighborhood, and can be a small but important way of creating a sense of neighborhood identity. Neighborhoods can brand themselves with a cohesive theme, honor those who have served their neighborhoods or brighten their landscape.

Funding Information

It is the responsibility of the neighborhood association to maintain the traffic art boxes. Within three years of the grant award, the neighborhood association can apply for a fast track grant of up to $1,000 to cover maintenance or replacement of artwork due to damage.

Eligible Projects
Criteria

Once City Council has approved the grant, the neighborhood association must provide the following before implementation:

Complete artwork renderings for each traffic art box
