Trans Justice Funding Project’s 2020 Grants to Support Trans-led Groups in the United States

LGBTI Communications: Learning Journey Grants

Deadline: 15 February 2020

Applicants are invited to apply for the Trans Justice Funding Project’s 2020 grants program to support trans-led groups with budgets of under $250,000 in the United States.

The Trans Justice Funding Project is a community-led funding initiative founded in 2012 to support grassroots, trans justice groups run by and for trans people. They make grants annually by bringing together a panel of six trans justice activists from around the country to carefully review every application they receive. They center the leadership of trans people organizing around their experiences with racism, economic injustice, transmisogyny, ableism, immigration, incarceration, and other intersecting oppressions.

Over the last seven years, they’ve received 1118 applications, given away 903 grants through their community-led process, and distributed more than $2.7 million.

Grant Information

Their 2020 goal is to give away at least 750,000 dollars with grant sizes of $2500, $5000, and $10,000.
