The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the 2023 U. S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) Program.

The Program aims to preserve historic buildings and monuments, archaeological sites, museum collections, and forms of traditional cultural expression, such as indigenous languages and crafts. The AFCP program is supervised by the Cultural Heritage Center (the Center) of the U.S. Department of State.

Program Objectives

The Department of State established the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation in 2000 at the request of Congress. The preservation of cultural heritage offers an opportunity for the United States to show to respect for other cultures. AFCP projects help to preserve cultural heritage, strengthen civil society, encourage good governance, and promote political and economic stability around the world.
