U.S.-China Youth Forum on Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Economic Opportunities!

Mornington Peninsula Shire's Youth Encouragement Grants - Australia

Deadline: 5 September 2017

The Department of State (the Department) Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs (the Bureau) has announced through a NOFO, an open competition to identify a U.S. implementing partner for the U.S.-China Youth Forum on Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Economic Opportunities (the Forum). The U.S. host is the Bureau. China’s host is the All China Youth Federation (ACYF). The two-day Forum is projected to take place in Shenzhen, China in early December, 2017. The U.S. implementing partner will be responsible for coordinating with the Bureau, the ACYF, and its implementing partner(s) to identify participants and organize the Forum.

The intent of the Forum is to strengthen U.S.-China people-to-people ties and increase mutual understanding from both sides. In addition, the Forum will showcase the next generation of outstanding American and Chinese leaders in entrepreneurship and innovation, and help them access each other’s markets and build mutually beneficial relationships with one another (and investors). The Forum will also provide an opportunity for U.S. entrepreneurs and incubators to connect with Chinese entrepreneurs and incubators and share insights on their respective entrepreneurial ecosystems. The Forum will highlight the importance of ethnic and geographical diversity, women’s empowerment, and other social-economic issues valued in both their entrepreneurial ecosystems. Lastly, the Forum should encourage synergies among leading U.S. and Chinese entrepreneurs, incubators, and investors for further private sector collaboration between the two sides.
