The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking applications for funding under the fiscal year (FY) 2019 Coordinated Assistance to States Program.
The project’s goal is to provide resources and TTA to support states and communities in developing a continuum of juvenile justice services that range from prevention to intervention to reentry and that fall within the Title II Formula Grants Program areas. These program areas include but are not limited to state-level compliance monitoring of the core requirements of the Formula Grants Program; delinquency prevention, intervention, reducing juvenile recidivism, strengthening police-community relations, and systems improvement; maximizing the impact of SAGs; implementing evidence-based approaches to detention and commitment; meeting the needs of dual-system youth; and sharing information across state and local systems.

- Development of tools and resources
- Training and technical assistance
- Development and dissemination of publications and online resources
Award Information
OJJDP expects to make one award of up to $5,791,748 for a 36-month period of performance, to begin on October 1, 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- County governments
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Private institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- City or township governments
- State governments
- Special district governments
- For profit organizations other than small businesses
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Small businesses
- Eligible applicants are limited to states (including territories), units of local government, federally recognized tribal governments as determined by the Secretary of the Interior, nonprofit organizations and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations), and institutions of the higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). All recipients and subrecipients (including any for-profit organization) must forgo any profit or management fee.
