Grants to Support the Activities of NGOs in Fight Against Human Trafficking in BiH

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is seeking applications for funding for research and evaluation projects that support and inform federal, state, local and tribal criminal justice agencies and victim service providers to respond to the challenges that trafficking in persons.

This program furthers the Department’s mission by sponsoring research to provide objective, independent, evidence-based knowledge and tools to meet and overcome criminal justice challenges at the state and local levels.

The goal of this research program is to provide a comprehensive and extensive understanding of human trafficking as it occurs in the United States; and to provide federal, state, local, and tribal criminal justice agencies with evidence-based knowledge and tools to address the crime as it occurs in their communities.

Funding Information: NIJ expects to make up to eight (8) awards of up to $1,000,000, with an estimated total amount awarded of up to $4,000,000. NIJ expects to make awards for up to 36 month period of performance, to begin on January 1, 2018.
