U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of INL seeking Applications for “Criminal Justice and Litigation Skill Building” Program

The United States Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, is seeking applications from qualified U.S. or overseas Non-Profit/Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Educational Institutions, and other qualified organizations for a grant to implement a program entitled “Criminal Justice and Litigation Skill Building: Supporting Consolidation of Mexico’s Implementation of its Oral, Adversarial and Accusatorial Criminal Justice System (ACJS)”.

This project will support the Embassy Mexico City/INL ROL Criminal Prosecutions Program by providing Mexican law students and professors an opportunity to develop litigation skills for working in and teaching the ACJS. This will be done by delivering litigation workshops, providing training/study tours to the United States and organizing an international conference on law schools’ role in the consolidation of the ACJS.

The goal of this grant is to support Mexico’s consolidation of the ACJS by providing Mexican law students and professors an opportunity to develop the skills required to operate and teach in the ACJS.
