The U.S. Department of Transportation is seeking proposals for Crime Prevention and Public Safety Awareness Program.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the availability of $2 million in funding provided under the Technical Assistance and Workforce Development Program, as authorized by 49 U.S.C. § 5314, as amended by the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST), Public Law 114-94 (December 4, 2015).

The primary purpose of these grants is to develop and disseminate technical assistance materials supporting public safety awareness campaigns addressing public safety in transit systems, including crime prevention, human trafficking, and operator assault.
