U.S. Department of State, Bureau of INL: Building and Sustaining Effective Community Anti-drug Coalitions

Request for Proposals: UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme in Cambodia

Deadline: 29 December 2017

The United States Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, is seeking applications from qualified Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Educational Institutions and other qualified organizations for a Grant to implement a program entitled “Building and Sustaining Effective Community Anti-drug Coalitions.”

Effective community anti-drug coalitions help to establish and strengthen collaboration among communities and reduce substance abuse among youth. The organization undertaking this role would provide assistance in activities which involve training a diverse group of locally based participants in effective community problem-solving strategies by teaching them how to assess their local substance abuse-related problems and how to develop a comprehensive plan to address the problems.

Project Goal

To establish effective community anti-drug coalitions in communities which do not yet have them, and to strengthen existing communities with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to build effective and sustainable coalitions that fight illegal drugs and associated crime.
