U.S. Department of State, Bureau of SCA: Countering Trafficking in Persons in Sri Lanka

To assist efforts to Counter Trafficking in Persons (TIP) in Sri Lanka, the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) has announced an open competition for proposals from organizations seeking to provide assistance on eliminating worker paid recruitment fees, improving victim identification and referral systems; improving victim assistance and psychosocial services; and/or working with core agencies on regulatory reform to protect migrant workers and reduce trafficking.

Applicants should outline project concepts that address Sri Lanka’s need for technical expertise and capacity building to implement various countering TIP processes and mechanisms. Proposals should respond to SCA’s objective to support Sri Lanka through assistance programs that promote respect for human rights and the rule of law.
