The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Consulate General in Lahore of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to invite submission of Statements of Interest for assistance awards, contingent on funding availability, through the Consulate’s Public Diplomacy Grants program.
Public Diplomacy Grant programs will expand opportunities for:
- increasing entrepreneurship, investment, and employment opportunities in Punjab province as well as the US; or
- Enabling Punjab province youth to obtain needed employment skills in order to succeed in the job market.
Priority Areas
- Strengthen people-to-people ties between the United States and Pakistan through exchanges of information, experiences, and expertise. Specifically, the creation or enhancement of a network of support to create a sustainable community for entrepreneurs that facilitates communication and linkages with other local and international entrepreneurs to share lessons learned and other resources for success.
- Strengthen local organizations’ capacity through leadership development, training, and mentoring activities for Pakistani entrepreneurs, especially women and youth, so they can break into markets or scale businesses.

- Estimated Total Program Funding: $150,000
- Award Ceiling: $75,000
- Award Floor: $25,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Submissions are encouraged from U.S. and Pakistani registered not-for-profit, for-profit, civil society/non-governmental organizations, U.S. local and state governments, and educational institutions.
- At least two years of programming experience is preferred.
- Applicants would be expected to document prior programming experience if selected under this funding opportunity, and a copy of the organization’s registration would be provided to accompany the proposal.
- U.S.-based non- profit organizations would be expected to provide a copy of their IRS determination letter. Pakistan-based non-profit organizations will be expected to submit a copy of their certificate of registration from the appropriate government organization.
