U.S. Embassy in Armenia announces 2020 Julia Taft Refugee Fund Program Competition

The United States Embassy has announced the 2020 Julia Taft Refugee Fund Program competition to support initiatives that support one time, low-cost interventions that address important gaps in refugee protection and assistance.

All projects should explain how the proposed activities impact Armenia’s refugees population. Project proposals should describe specific objectives and expected outcomes. Proposals focused primarily on training or capacity building will not be considered unless the training will lead to concrete, measurable outcomes. Collaborative projects between partnering NGOs are strongly encouraged.

Special consideration will be given to proposals that focus on one or more of the following:

Awards may range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $25,000;

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated according to the project’s relevance to the Julia Taft Refugee Fund Program goals; the extent to which the project has clearly formulated objectives, target groups, and expected outcomes; and the ability of the applying organization to carry out the project aims.
