U.S. Embassy in Chile seeking Applications for Opportunities Fund Program

2022 Australia Awards Scholarship in Tuvalu

Deadline: 15 March 2020

The U.S. Embassy in Chile is inviting applicants for its Opportunities Fund Program to provide funding to cover the costs of the application process to US universities.

Since 2013, the program has benefited twenty Chilean students, graduates of public high schools and subsidized schools that successfully applied to universities such as MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Yale, Smith College, Pomona, Brandeis, UPenn, Amherst College, Carleton College, Connecticut College and West Virginia University, Wellesley, Oberlin, Dickinson and Colorado School of Mines.

The Opportunities Fund Program is intended for outstanding students in second or third grade, with an advanced level of English, interested in undergraduate studies in the United States, but who need financial help to cover the costs of the application process. Students are selected based on their academic performance and limited family financial solvency, receiving advice from EducationUSA throughout the process.

Note: The Fund Opportunities Program is not a college scholarship or an exchange grant.
