The Small Grants Office of the U.S. Embassy Eswatini is pleased to announce that funding is available through the Embassy’s PEPFAR Small Grants Program.

Purpose of PEPFAR Small Grant

The PEPFAR Small Grants Program to support People Living with Disabilities is an initiative that will assist local organizations to implement small scale projects that address issues related to access to the HIV prevention, testing and treatment services.

Funding Information

The size of the grants will be between US$5,000 – $25,000. Only under exceptional circumstances will the U.S. Embassy award grants above US$25,000. Grants will be awarded for a one-year period ending on or before August 31, 2021.

Funding Priorities

The PEPFAR Small Grants for people living with disabilities is an initiative that will assist local organizations to implement small scale projects that address a range of HIV-related issues affecting people living with disabilities in Eswatini.  Project activities should adhere to the guidelines listed below. While focused on people living with disabilities, all projects must demonstrate a link to HIV prevention, care or support.  There is no one ideal project.  However, successful projects share similar features.

Eligibility Criteria

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), faith-based organizations (FBOs), groups of persons living with HIV or groups of persons living with a disability are eligible to apply. Applicants must:

Organizations that already receive direct funding or substantial support from the PEPFAR program are not eligible. Applicants should not duplicate already existing activities in their geographical area.
