The U.S. Embassy in N’Djamena has launched a call for proposals for funding of program to address health and development challenges in Africa and promote increased economic opportunities with the United States, to be supported by the Africa Regional Economic Fund (ESF).

Concern for the health of the poor is an essential part of the problem of economic development, and the improvement of the health situation has become a prerequisite to allow developing countries to break the cycle of poverty.
