The U.S. Embassy Kigali Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State has announced that funding is available through its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program for an English language training program to take place at U.S. Embassy American Center.

Purpose

PAS Kigali invites requests for funding for programs to teach English to U.S. Embassy American Center youth patrons while at the same time strengthening ties between the United States and Rwanda. Successful requests for funding will offer English instruction for six months to one year in American Center. Requests for funding must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives, in addition to teaching English.

American Center youth patrons aged 15 to 30.  Requests for funding should propose audience size and number of instruction sessions per week.
