U.S. Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica is seeking proposals for its Women’s History Month 2018 Grants Program.
Funding Information
Three grants of up to US$20,000.00 will be awarded to promote the empowerment of women and girls in Jamaica.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Embassy invites eligible Individuals (alumni of US Government funded professional and educational exchange programs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) to submit project abstracts for causes that affect girls or women in the categories of:
- Education
- Mentorship
- Economic sustainability
- Social Responsibility
- Proposals should demonstrate creativity, substance, and relevance to national goals relating to one of the topic areas above. Preference will also be given to projects that align with U.S. State Department goals of:
- Safeguarding the Homeland and U.S. Citizens
- Increased Trade and Shared Economic Growth
- Addressing Caribbean Health Challenges
- Strengthening the U.S. – Jamaica Partnership on Global Issues on the Island, throughout the region and around the world.
Project Abstract
The project abstract should be no more than five sentences. The project abstract should include the proposed project category (e.g. education) and the proposed project goals. How will this project meet the goal of empowering Jamaica women or girls?
