The U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon is seeking project proposals for the 2018 U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) competition.

Through the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP), the U.S. Department of State helps countries around the globe preserve cultural and religious patrimony including historic sites, manuscripts, museum collections, and traditional forms of expression such as music, dance, and language.

Funding Areas

Through the AFCP Program, the Department of State supports projects to preserve cultural heritage in the following three areas:

Eligibility Criteria

AFCP bureau defines eligible project applicants as reputable and accountable non-commercial entities, such as non-governmental organizations, museums, ministries of culture, or similar institutions and organizations that are able to demonstrate that they have the requisite experience and capacity to manage projects to preserve cultural heritage.
