The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan is pleased to announce an open competition for eligible organizations to submit applications to carry out a project that will use sports as a platform to develop critical life and leadership skills and empower young women and girls to be a force for positive change.

This cooperative agreement seeks to increase girls’ and women’s equality and empowerment through participation in athletics. The fundamental goals of the program are to inspire young women to engage in public life, learn civic leadership skills, and be active agents advocating for social change in their communities, including promoting civic virtues such as tolerance and equality for all.
