The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur has announced an open competition for organizations to submit applications to implement a series of boot camp programs on youth empowerment and leadership for members of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative(YSEALI) in higher education institutions throughout Malaysia.

The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is the U.S. government’s signature initiative to engage emerging leaders in Southeast Asia. The boot camp program aims to provide leadership skills, expand the network of Malaysia’s young leaders working to solve community challenges and promote the YSEALI brand across Malaysia.

Participants and Audiences

Participants will be ages 18-35. Participants will be registered YSEALI members. Preference should be given to those who have not previously attended YSEALI events, activities, exchanges, workshops and other related YSEALI programs, so as to expand YSEALI’s reach. YSEALI members, who have participated in exchanges, workshops and other YSEALI programs should be incorporated into boot camps as facilitators, mentors, or to provide other assistance.
