UETF Resiliency Residency Program for Artist in the US

Open Call for African Artists AU20 “Our Africa, Our Future” Artists Residency Programme

Deadline: 30-Nov-21

The City of Albuquerque (CABQ) Urban Enhancement Trust Fund (UETF) in partnership with five local non-profit arts organizations, The Dellsly Group, Keshet Dance and Center for the Arts, FUSION, National Institute of Flamenco, and Puha Hubiya, are pleased to present this 18-month residency opportunity to advance their artistic or cultural work through a meaningful, perhaps collaborative, commitment to their creative expression.

The goal of this funding is to help local artists with resources needed for the continuation of their artistic or cultural work. Proposed Resiliency Residency projects DO NOT have to be fully realized by the end of the funding term. Therefore, residency projects, performances, presentations, showcases, or exhibits may include works in progress, rehearsals, feedback sessions, or progress reports.

The results of the residency term should be available to the public in some format for a reasonable duration of time–either virtually, online, through a performance at a facility, or other local event/exhibit location. This residency program will include additional professional development opportunities to the entire group of 75 artists, beyond working with the five support/fiscal sponsor organizations.

The additional skills, training and development workshops are yet to be defined, based on a survey of interests from the selected artists, but they will be optional and participation is not required in order to be eligible to apply.
