The Vinnytsia Regional Human Rights Organization is inviting you to take part in the competition of women’s human rights organizations to receive support in capacity development.
They believe that strong women’s organizations work together to better strengthen the rights and empower women and girls.
Capacity building of local women’s human rights organizations is the main task of the Hubs – Interregional Resource Centers (IRCs) to develop the capacity of women’s organizations created under the project “Women of Ukraine: Capable, Unbreakable”, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada.
The Central IRC started operating in early 2020 on the basis of VOPE “Source of Hope” (Vinnytsia) and implements activities in the central cluster: Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Poltava regions.
During May-June 2020, the Central IRC conducts a competitive selection of women’s human rights organizations to provide support in developing their potential.
Women’s organizations that will be competitively selected over the next four years will receive support from the Central IRC, which:
- Assess the level of capacity and develop an institutional development plan
- Offers a menu of trainings on organizational and program issues
- Will provide mentoring support
- Will create opportunities for networking and sharing experiences
Eligibility Criteria
Your organization must:
- is a registered women’s organization that professes feminist principles and values*;
- created to promote gender equality, protect the rights and empowerment of women, and provide services to vulnerable groups of women and girls;
- works at the local level;
- ready to learn, develop and network over the next four years
*In the framework of the project “Women of Ukraine: involved, capable, unbreakable” under the local women’s human rights organization means:
- a non-political non-profit organization headed by a woman, officially registered in Ukraine, whose mission is to combat all forms of discrimination against women and ensure equal rights for women and men in all spheres of society by promoting women’s rights as human rights; advocacy (at various levels from local to international politics), education and awareness-raising, monitoring of women’s rights based on international instruments and national legislation and policies, and the provision of services to women and girls.
