United Nations announces Competition for Business Grants Program in Eastern Ukraine

International Visegrad Fund launches Strategic Grants Program

The United Nations Peacebuilding and Peacebuilding Program, with the support of the European Union, the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Government of Japan, announces a competition for small business grants to start, rebuild or expand micro, small and medium enterprises in districts and cities of Zaporozhye region along the coast of the Sea of Azov.

The goal of the program is to restore and strengthen business activity, reduce labor market tensions and ensure the development of sectors of the economy that are critical to the further economic development of the region.

In order to systematically and sustainably develop the priority sectors of the economy of the target regions and create new jobs, grant support will be provided for the implementation of business projects in the following areas:

Funding Information

Maximum amount of one grant:

Entrepreneurs who receive a grant must make their own contribution to the implementation of the business plan (in cash or otherwise, for example, free labor, equipment, premises, etc.) in the amount of not less than 25% of the project cost.

The grant competition will support business projects in the following sectors from the following categories of participants:
