The UN Women Somalia Office is seeking applications to engage a Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working on strengthening the protection, leadership and empowerment of vulnerable women, men and youth affected by COVID-19 in IDP camps of Somalia.

UN Women Somalia calls for proposals for a project to be implemented in Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo, and Garowe that seeks to promote COVID-19 prevention and mitigation measures, targeting women and girls in internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugee camps.

It will enhance leadership skills of internally displaced women and girls and develop their capacities for promoting gender responsive COVID-19 prevention and recovery support among crisis-affected women in Somalia.

The overall goal of this project is to ensure that women and girl refugees, IDPs are directly empowered to mitigate the impact of multiple crises on their livelihoods, protect themselves from exposure to GBV, and participate in decision-making processes within their communities.
