The Generation Equality Programme has announced a call for proposals targeting civil society organizations (CSOs) working on policy interventions and research work in India around thematic areas of ending gender-based violence and women’s economic justice and rights themes.
The call aims to reach out to CSOs that have experience and expertise in programming and delivering innovative interventions in the thematic area to contribute towards the goals of the strategic plan, “Outcome 1: A comprehensive and dynamic set of global norms, policies and standards on gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls is strengthened and implemented”.
The call for proposal encourages innovative women rights organisations/ CSOs/initiatives aimed strategically at the Global Acceleration Action Plan developed as part of Generation equality programme.
The responsible party will undertake research to identify urgent interventions towards gender equality. The organisation will draw a comparative analysis of international policies emerging in the South Asia for ending violence against women, women’s increased labour force participation, safety at work, unpaid work, and access to services to inform feminist advocacy agenda.

- The budget range for this proposal should be [INR 32,00,000 to INR 35,00,000 (Indian Rupees Thirty Two Lakhs to Thirty-five Lakhs only).
Eligibility Criteria
- Requirements for the Team Leader:
- Advanced university degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Policy, or a related relevant field (including quantitative component) is required. PhD degree would be considered as an asset.
- At least 8 years of experience in quantitative analysis and developing policy simulations on social inclusion gender resource budgeting, urban governance and other public policy issues.
- Previous experience in project cycle management, financial and administrative management will be considered an advantage;
- Experience in working with UN agencies or other international organizations
- Experience in working with vulnerable groups is considered an asset;
- Team members must have:
- Advanced university degree in Social Policy, Development Policy, Finance, Public Administration, or a related relevant field is required;
- At least 7 years of experience working in the field of ending violence against women and women’s economic justice related issues;
- At least 5 of relevant experience in costing policies in the context of available budget allocations and fiscal space;
- Demonstrable experience in writing research reports or policy and budget briefs.
