The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Kyrgyz Republic under the UNDP Biodiversity finance initiative Phase II project has announced a tender for Provision of consultative support to implementation of the BIOFIN’s financial solution on “Reforming harmful agricultural subsidies to promote green/organic agriculture”.

Goal

The overall goal of the assignment is to reform environmentally harmful agriculture subsidies (government policies) in order to remove barriers to the introduction of green / organic practices in the sector.

Objectives

The ToR aims at developing measures for the effective reform of harmful for environment and biodiversity subsidies, making them less harmful for biodiversity and transformation to positive ones. It is important to minimize losses for socially vulnerable groups of the population, which depend on the agriculture subsidies.
