UNDP Call for Ideas: Supporting Afghan Women and Girls in time of COVID19

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for Ideas to provide support to women and girls across Afghanistan in a time of COVID19.

With a special focus on the rural and possibly hard to reach areas of the country. Civil society organizations, and women’s rights activists, are encouraged to submit their ideas on how to support women and girls dung the COVID19 pandemic.The selection process involves an online call for ideas where applications will have to briefly describe their proposal.

The winners of the best ideas will be further contacted to draft a more detailed proposal including concrete actions for putting their idea into practice. All activities will have to be conducted within the timeframe 1st to 31st July 2020.

What are we looking to fund?

They want to fund community led initiatives that support women and girls across Afghanistan. They are especially interested in initiatives that reach rural women and girls and women in hard to reach areas. They are looking for ideas to prevent COVID, to assist those who are affected and to assist communities more broadly. Activities conducted using technology, online and/or off-line are welcome. Activities led by young women are also strongly encouraged.
