UNDP Call for Proposals for CSOs and NGOs in Burkina Faso

Deadline: 21-Dec-21

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is calling proposals for the IsDB-ISDF Poverty Reduction NGO Empowerment Program.

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is a south-south multilateral development finance institution, whose objective is to promote the socio-economic development of its 57 member countries (MPs) spread over four continents (Africa, Asia, Europe and South America). IsDB’s mission is to promote overall human development, with an emphasis on priority areas of poverty reduction, improvement of health, promotion of education, improvement of governance and the prosperity of populations.

The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) is the organ of the Islamic Development Bank Group in charge of poverty alleviation. It was created in 1426H -Hijri calendar- (Gregorian 2005). The ISFD fights against poverty in member countries through its flagship programs and other modes of intervention. The main objective of operations financed by the ISFD is to reduce poverty. Therefore, the projects and programs undertaken by ISFD are inexpensive, high impact, innovative, results oriented and primarily community driven. ISFD interventions focus on the poorest of the poor, empowering them to create jobs and income-generating activities.
