2022 Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program (US)

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is calling for proposals from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), including NGOs for grants to provide support to survivors of Conflict Related Sexual Violence in Tambura County, Western Equatoria State, South Sudan.

The project aims to empower women and girls held by pro-Riek Machar SPLA in Opposition (SPLA-IO) in Western Equatoria to reintegrate into their communities and reassert themselves as agents of change. The target group consists of women and girls who have been victims of sexual violence while held on SPLA-IO military bases for prolonged periods; while in captivity, most abductees have likely been subjected to different forms of sexual violence.
