The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting proposals to secure services of a CSO/NGO to serve as the Lead Technical Partner responsible to design, run and manage the Sierra Leone MSME Growth Accelerator Programme including setting up the programme, mobilizing partners, recruiting business development service providers, developing call for applications, providing capacity building and mentorship for successful business ventures.
The Sierra Leone MSME Growth Accelerator Programme aims to accelerate growth of innovative, viable, and ambitious MSMEs with transformative economic impact through improved access to finance focusing on blended financing package (Grants, Loans and guarantees), Technical Assistance, and business development services.
These will include among others:
- Agriculture;
- Digital Economy;
- Environment;
- Affordable
- Renewable energy;
- Education; and
- Health sector.
Funding Information
- Proposals amounts should be up to a maximum of US $500,000 as stated in the ToR.
- The amount requested in the proposal should be commensurate with the organization’s administrative and financial management capabilities. In principle, project duration will not exceed 8 months (by 31st December 2022).
Final Beneficiaries
UNDP request proposal for the management of Sierra Leone MSME Growth Accelerator Programme. The accelerator seeks to provide grant funding to 40 successful business ventures (30 Micro (informal Sector) and 10 small and Medium (Formal Sector)) and 12 months of support to the successful ventures that are ready to grow and scale.
Eligibility Criteria
- The parameters that will determine whether aNGO is eligible to be considered by UNDP will be based on the NGO Request for Information (RFI) template.
- NGOs who already submitted the information requested in the RFI do not have to resubmit it.
