The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Lebanon, is inviting proposals form NGOs/Non-Profit Organizations for its program entitled “Support to Strengthen Marketing Capacities, Visibility and Promotion of Rural Women Cooperatives in Lebanon”.
The overall aim of the intervention is to improve the economic condition of vulnerable women in rural areas by strengthening the food production, sales and marketing skills of female cooperative members and supporting them in the promotion and sales of their products through promotional events and online tools.
Funding Information
All proposals shall have the same maximum overall price (which cannot exceed the fixed budget amount of USD 65,000, this amount is all inclusive).
Eligibility Criteria
Firms Qualifications
- A registered local Lebanese Non-Profit Organization with experience in supporting agro-food cooperatives.
- Established since minimum of 5 years.
- Economic and financial standing: total annual turnover must not be less than USD 200,000.
- Technical capacity: The Consultant has worked on at least one major project in fields related to the contract in the past three years, and in particular in the following field:
- Technical and marketing support to agro-food cooperatives
- Organization of promotional events
- Online promotion (promotion through social media/web-site)
- Knowledge of the geographic areas in question, the consultant should have proven record of experience in the areas of project implementation.
Profile of requested staff
- Team leader:
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in local development
- Proven experience in project management and proficiency in project management tools is required.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (French is an asset).
- Full time presence for this position is preferable.
- Technical Training specialist (Food Safety and Quality, and Marketing and Cost Analysis):
- BA in agricultural development, Food quality control or any related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in carrying out training in Food Safety and Quality, and Marketing and Cost Analysis.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
- Event organization, sales and promotion Specialist:
- BA in Business, marketing and sales or any related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the organization of events, sales and promotion, particularly in online promotion (social-media/web-site etc.) and design of promotional material
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
