UNDP BiH in partnership with various domestic partners is currently seeking proposals for the joint initiative of the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Sweden under the project “Strengthening the role of MZs in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)”.
The project aims to encourage citizens in the local decision-making process, where they want to ensure the provision of quality services by the local self-government unit (JLS), and implement local development activities, emphasizing the democratic role of local communities in BiH.
The purpose of the public call is also to:
- Encourage joint MZ projects
- Encouraging partnership initiatives between local communities and local self-government units
- Contribute to improving community wellbeing.
Objectives
The objective of the project is to improve the quality of life of citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina through:
- Improving local services
- Increase of governmental responsibility
- Promotion of social inclusion
Funding Information
The financial contribution from the Community Development Fund per individual project with which it is applied may not be lower than 6,000 KM or higher than 17,000 KM.
Eligibility Criteria
- Partners / associates of the project may be: civil society organizations / non-governmental organizations, individuals, public institutions and JLS.
- Partners participate in the design and implementation of the project, but are not eligible as fundraisers, nor can their engagement have any financial compensation.
