UNDP inviting Expression of Interest for Small Grants Program

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Panama, through the project “Being LGBTI in the Caribbean” invites organizations CSOs/NGOs/CBOs in the countries of Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Jamaica and with proven experience, to participate in the following Expression of Interest (EOI).

Being LGBTI in the Caribbean (BLIC) is a regional programme that aims to enhance knowledge, partnerships, and capacities of LGBTI people, civil society, and States to reduce human rights violations and negative attitudes towards LGBTI people in the Caribbean. The regional programme has a country level focus in Barbados, Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Jamaica, as well as regional activities. To achieve its goals, the project responds to the experiences and needs of the LGBTI people in the Caribbean.

The programme is a collaboration between governments, civil society, regional institutions, and other stakeholders to advance the social inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people. The programme is supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Focus of the Grants 

This call for proposal wishes to support and strengthen the capacity and programming of CSOs/NGOs to actively engage in and deliver results responding to the seven priority areas:

Funding Information

A total of US $110,000 is available for funding proposals between US $10,000 and US $20,000. The time-period for implementation of the small grant is approximately eight (8) months, running from 18 April to 31 December 2022.
